  @evilApostate: that can be the case. I found out that they move their operations (or some of it) to the 19th floor of an office building (check here: http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/pc/r1/lp-e/1200272761/15/0)

  Apparently the former branch buildings are prime property (I think they are making good money from moving the branch out of it).

  I'm not in HK (or near) so I'm just sharing what I found on the news. Maybe someone closer to it can provide some details.

The two-storey property at 14 Kent Road has a site area and saleable area of 10,771 sq ft and 4,303 sq ft respectively. The total site area and saleable area are 21,546 sq ft and 11,485 sq ft respectively. The property possesses huge gardens and carports.

  Sam Mock, Senior Director of Investment, Savills said, “the sites are located at an impeccable and luxury area in Kowloon Tong. It is worth mentioning that they are the only two adjoining residential sites currently on sale in the market. The owner holds the sites for over 25 years and it is a very unique moment they are out in the market for sale now. In addition, the townhouse sites are usually well sought-after, such as No.22 Barker Road, The Peak (transacted at HK$1.5 billion / unit price per saleable sq ft HK$151,668), No.1 Purves Road (Transacted at HK$760 million / A.V. per sq ft HK$96,729 sq ft) and No.35 South Bay Road (Transacted at HK$808 million / unit price per saleable sq ft HK$110,776). Comparatively speaking, the A.V. for 12 & 14 Kent Road is at a range of HK$37,000 to HK$40,000 per sq ft which is very attractive.”

  Activism idea. Get former JWs celebrities to raise awareness

  it just occurred to me that former jws celebrities could help in a campaign to raise awareness on some of the most controversial jw's practices (two witness rule in relation to child abuse, shunning, blood).

  we would need some of them to record brief videos and share them through social media.

  this can be more effective than what any of us could individually do.

  Some of them have briefly talked about their JW past, but there has never been a concentrated effort to engage them in a campaign. I don't care much about them being "role models" (which is also something rather subjective), but that they have big audience available to share a message.

  @shadow: I agree the signature might no be the most important part of the document, but it is the only thing that was really provided by Jackson. I don't think he drafted the document himself.

  I think you can see a bit of how the person really is by his/her handwriting style. In this particular case it seams childish to me... and this person is ruling over 8 million people.

  i would think the only christian organization on this planet would be more than willingly send another gb member to australia in order to answer rcs questions, taking the place of jackson who is taking care of his ill farther.
